The Government of Liberia received a US10 million dollar grant from the World Bank to implement the ‘Youth Opportunity Project’.

The grant is intended to build the capacity of 50,000 Liberian youths and also empower them through sustainable economic programs, under the vigilant supervision and implementation of the Ministries of youth & Sports and Gender and Social Protection, and Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE).
Deputy Minister for Research and Extension Thomas Gbokie launched the program at the Paynesville City Hall. He told Liberian youths of numerous opportunities they stand to benefit when young entrepreneurs could blend their career with agricultural related vocations
