Ministry of Agriculture, Liberia Service Delivery Charter
The Service Delivery Charter outlines the Ministry’s mission to serve farmers, agribusiness entrepreneurs, citizens, and other stakeholders by ensuring food security, rural development, and sustainable agricultural practices across the country. It defines the scope of the all-levels operations (central, county and sub-national offices) and establishes clear objectives: enhancing service delivery culture, clarifying roles and responsibilities, promoting accountability and transparency, supporting national development goals, combating corruption, and encouraging continuous improvement.
In addition, the Charter sets out service guarantees and standards: timely responses (e.g. certain deadline targets), professional conduct, inclusivity (accessible through multiple channels and accommodating special needs), confidentiality, and procedures for feedback and complaints (including escalation, anti-retaliation, and regular updates). It also clarifies the rights of service users (to quality information, redress, privacy) as well as their obligations (providing accurate information, following protocols, courtesy). The aim is to strengthen public trust and provide a framework for performance measurement and citizen engagement.
