MOA supports Thomas Farm with thresher after a massive rice harvest

The Ministry of Agriculture has donated a rice thresher to Thomas Farms in Senjeh District, Bomi County during a massive rice harvest on 300 acres.

Acting Minister Robert Fagans turned over the agro-equipment to Thomas Farm as MOA’s way of supporting rice farmers to increase production of the country’s staple food.

A thresher is an important farming equipment that removes the seeds from the stalks and husks. It does so by beating the plant to make the seeds fall out.

The MOA also granted Thomas Farms to store its harvested rice at the ministry’s warehouse in Tubmanburg to avoid post-harvest losses.
